Only three days in the past month have been below average, so it's safe to say that this summer is going to be sticky and hot with numerous heatwaves like usual.

Still cold in 50s and 60s here in PNW, am about tired of it! Where is Al Gore and global warming?? Will we even get a summer I wonder?

Don't know where Al Gore is, but the global warming's right here in the southeast. Apparently, a group of heat-loving southerners took your summer and aren't planning on giving it back.

I'm jealous. Too bad we can't trade places. Sunny, hot weather is coming here this weekend.

Actually, compared to last year's record breaking summer, it will be cooler. But compared to the average, it will be hotter. The original OP said Texas would be cooler than last summer, not a normal summer. I'm amazed that we have yet to hit 100°F this year. We can hit 100 anywhere from February until November. Last year we hit it in February, but we haven't yet. But those lows in the low 80s have already been met.

Of course, summer for me will be a two sided story. I will be here until July 26th, then I will be moving to Denver, Colorado, so my second half of summer will be delightful.

Ots hard to say really. Saw a report on televison that showed many years where it was above normal being no where near the hottest summers.

I think it's going to be HOT in Chicago.

We were already up into the 80's in April, and June so far as been 80's and even 90's. That's quite warm for us.

Especially on the heels of last year when it was 60's and 70's almost the entire summer. One of the coldest ever.
