I support intervention in Syria. The situation is terrible there, and if the government really have used chemical weapons, it's completely below the belt. I would send our fighters there if it was possible.

There's no appetite at all here for intervention. People haven't forgotten Iraq and how shambolic that was, and the reputation the UK garnered after doing so. Sadly, if we do go, we're America's poodle, and if we don't, we're weak and diminished. We can't win! Oh well, might as well just sit on the sidelines and let France handle it.

'France handle it?'

Sorry love but they aren't going to be handling anything.

I was joking. Of course they're not going to handle anything on their own, but they'll be America's new European ally in this venture, and we'll take a backseat. Works for me.

Well lets hope not.

America loves us, not them.

I don't care. I don't want to get involved in their crazy foreign policy.

The US has nothing to gain in Syria. Iraq was a completely different thing. This is more like the Libyan intervention to depose Ghaddafi.

The Germans won't participate, I think they decided today, or was it yesterday. And like us, they have legal issues in these kind of things. Wonder why Italy is able to participate as they like.

I don't mean to be rude but the germans or whatever will never participate. Most of the big wars in the modern world are powered by the UK and the USA not europe and USA.
