"Warmed up" to 5C last night, or 41F. Didn't feel too much warmer than the previous night's 0C (32F).
I have been following Perth's minimums, just missed the record a couple of nights ago- Perth weather - local weather forecast
Was 4.5C last night at my place, about 25ks back from the coast, only 6C right on the coast.
We are heading for about 1C tonight, down to -4C in the upper hunter, 4C right on the coast. http://www.weatherzone.com.au/region...ist&lc=n03&d=0

Australia, especially Perth, is viewed as being warm to hot all the time so it's surprising to many that it gets so cold here in winter. Heck, it surprised me when I got back after many years away! This is as cold as it got in Vancouver.
Interesting stats from the Hunter. Only a few degrees difference to here really.
