It was one post. But yes, normal adults use figurative language, including 'destroyed'. I have no idea why one of the youngest forum posters can make much of a statement on maturity anyway.
Well I would think that the teachers in my school would laugh and laugh and laugh at the instance of an adult stating that they have destroyed food.
This is the internet, not real life. It doesn't really matter what you say - if it mattered as much as you are making out, then you'd be in big trouble.
A bit immature for an adult to come out with language like that.
