We are supposed to get a significant amount of snow here in NW NC. 4-6", which is alot for us! It is not expected to snow anywhere as much as it did on Dec. 18th, we got 12" during that storm!

That's more than we had all winter in Toronto!

Besides occaisional raw, Arctic-cold (windchills into the -10's F and maybe -20's F)
Two 3" snowfalls were our biggest winter weather events so far.

Could I tempt you to travel this way instead,
with tommorow's forecast high of 15 F (-10 C), low of 8 F (-14 C) with 15 mph winds and chance of 0.25-0.50" of snow???
Our afternoon windchill is forecast at 0 F (-18 C).

Yeah, I posted over in the Roanoke forum. Depending on which website I go to we are looking at 9 to 12 inches of snow here. Had about 15" from the Dec 18 storm and then temps stayed below freezing from Jan 1 until Jan 12. I hope I don't loose power but am preparing as though I will.

Only 52 days til Spring, at least in theory.

I'm in NW NC too and we are expecting the same, I don't think it will be as bad as the 18th. LOL, I had to have my Dad drive me to work that Sat. and guess what, the guy will probably want me to work tomorrow morning

This is day two of the major winter storm here from the biggest city in America named Stillwater as well as the home of Oklahoma State University. Day one it freezing rain all day. Now, today it's all light to moderate snow. It's a lot prettier to watch than freezing rain. Fortunately, no ice on trees unlike other places in Oklahoma to the south.
