Yes, it's actually snowing here! And for once it's more than just a light dusting, though for some of the Northern members it still wouldn't be much. Not sure exactly how much it is, but when I stepped in the yard earlier my footprints were about 3-4 inches deep. Sadly, that's more snow than I've seen in probably 15+ years. When I was young we would usually get at least one good 6-8 inch snow per winter.

If you do not have chemical hand and boot warmers, you are very brave.
Otherwise 19 F (-8 C) is way too cold to enjoy skiing, imho.

Could probably stand in front of an air-conditioner to warm up today.
Our low for tonight has been changed to 1 F! (-17 C)

I know how much you dislike that, hope you stay warm!

Nah, no worries.
I don't have to be outside if I don't want to; if I was working in it, that'd be a different story.

I was actually planning on testing a new winter hat tonight.
It's clear, dry and probably 5 F (-15 C) right now...
With the ultra-low dewpoint and clear skies, the moon is VERY bright tonight.
A fascinating night sky is a good distraction from cold.
With a house heated to 72 F, warm-up afterwards "should" be easy and not too slow.

*I'm quite adventurous and outdoorsy, so my cold sensitivity just means I'm more carefull preparing for the elements and I don't usually stay out too long.

We now have a nice blanket of ice all over everything. Including my car, which I cannot get into. Fortunately my legs still work...

Do you get ice there often? I'd consider yourself lucky it's not icing anymore.

We've had about 10" of snow so far and the latest forecast says we may get another one to two inches before we're done.

I read several different posts in a couple of threads about how to post a picture in a post but have not been able to accomplish it. I did create a new album for them - to show off the horses and the goat and the yard stick measuring the depth of the snow.

At least temps are not going to drop below freezing and stay there for 12 days like they did after the last storm on Dec 18. It was Jan 21 before the very last of the ice was cleared from my driveway.
