I'd venture to guess the electric bills for Texas/southwest this summer are way worse than my natural gas bill was this winter. Geesh, hope you all get a break soon!

Yes, they can get out of control if you let them. You get used to the heat when you grow up in it. That doesn't mean we like it, but we are accustomed.

Last night beat the previous night for being the coldest. We got down to 1.5C, or 34.7F. Brisk, you might say!

I sleep with my window open at night. I have a glass of water on my bedside table right by the window. When I went to drink some water, it was colder than when it comes out of the fridge!
