I’m surprised the heat and humidity didn’t reach up to your area, we had highs of 34.5C (94F) and 32.7C (91F) with a low of 24.6C (76F) and humidex readings of 45 with a 24C dew point. Pretty steamy stuff.

Rain moved in just before dark last night and continued well into the night. Note to self get a stinking rain gauge.

Yesterday was the hottest day of June so far at 31.5C. Today will probably be the second hottest day of the month so far, barely surpassing the temperature reached on June 1st (26.3C at Burlington Pier, 25.5C at Oakville TWN).

NWS NY Discussion for this weekend.. Loving it. Didn't expect the record low talk though. Whoa

Quote:
Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service New York NY
447 PM EDT Fri Jun 17 2022

A cold front will move through this afternoon, followed by a
secondary cold front after midnight.

Any morning sunshine on Sat should give way to broken stratocumulus
beneath a subsidence inversion, more typical of fall than of
early summer. A NW breeze will continue to usher in cool air,
and temps will be on the cool side for mid June, with highs
either side of 70 in the metro area and along the coast, and
only reaching the lower 60s inland. These readings are 10 to 15
degrees below normal. The cool temps will continue into Sat
night, with lows 50-55 in/just outside NYC and in the 40s
elsewhere. Record lows for the date are in jeopardy of being
tied or broken:

NW flow will continue to advect in much cooler and drier air for
latter half of this weekend with low pressure in the Canadian
Maritimes and high pressure building in from the west. Sunday
has forecast highs mostly in the 70s and several degrees below
normal. Dewpoints mainly in the upper 30s to lower 40s will make
for low humidity levels.

Unfortunately missed out on storms yesterday evening. Haven't had measurable precip since last Friday with high temps in the mid to upper 90's this week. Will probably get pretty dry soon with not much hope for precip over the next week. Forecast temps in the upper 90's and possibly 100F+ the end of next week.

Breaking nasty hi records every day. It was a ringing nasty 97f in Tampa and no chance of any rain for my area.

Nice. Enjoy your vacation. Kind of jealous even tho I'm enjoying this weather here.

It could get rainy this July for Phoenix. A nice monsoon is predicted. Hope you get it.
