The damage to the highway system in British Columbia from this atmospheric river is beyond catastrophic. I'm no engineer but it seems to me it will take years to recover. Rivers and mountainsides have moved: the places where the roads used to be are no longer there. I don't even know how they will begin to repair things.

Current temps at 10,000'... Another cold airmass incoming. The center of the vortex will stay north but the base will swing into the northeast.


Warm tomorrow. Cold Friday staying in the 40s here.
