I’m not going to pretend to know anything about the weather from places I don’t live.. BUT.. living in a small town outside of Montreal, I can tell you that winters here are hell on earth and they just get worse and worse every year. The air hurts your face. Burns your nose and throat sometimes because it’s too cold.

10° with humidity feels a whole lot worse than 10°F with no humidity.
