I'm expecting a repeat of last Weds storm: lots of heavy, wet snow, power outages (there are some people around here that haven't gotten their power back since Wednesday and were supposed to get it over the weekend, only to lose it again on Tuesday....)
This winter has been very different than others and really awful in my area (Seacoast NH)
I hope we don't see as much damage. It already been a March to remember and now here comes another. Stay safe. Keep us posted whats going on there. Thanks.
Upgraded to warnings in New England. Winter Advisories across NC now with warnings for higher elevations.
You can tell how the Jet stream is digging south because there are freeze watches & warnings in Alabama and SC. You don't get these coastal storms with a ridge. Always with a dip. The right location dip.
7:15amEST map... 1-2" in Tennessee and I see 4-7" reports from Kentucky and now snow spreading into Virginia with already 7-9" being reported in central WV. Already??
I wont get too technical but look at that massive dive south over Illinois and Indiana BEHIND the storm. If that was 12hrs faster and merged with this storm we would be talking about another Superstorm like 1993. Looks like Polar, Northern, and Sub Tropical Jets would phase. A rare 3 phaser. Missed by that much and we'll never know.
Anyway -- Check out the snow totals over KY/TN/and Virginias! Changed to snow in Greensboro, NC couple hours ago and the snow line is pushing east

More energy coming down from Indiana/Ohio as well.
