Deneb probably meant he specifically likes the rapid 40C to 20C plummet rather than incessant 20C highs.

I'd MUCH prefer 40C to 25C. Would not complain after that.
Ideally, I don't like temperature drops that extreme but if I had to have it, it is much better in summer than winter in my opinion because at least at Melbourne's temps that would mean you don't have to deal with frost and snow in winter. How about you guys? Would you prefer if Melbourne had summers as stable as winters currently are and winters as unstable as summer? How would you guys feel about -5 in the winter before going back up to +14 after a few days? And Sydney having sub zero high temperatures for a day or two? Would you like that better?

Storm to bring heavy rain and snow to western South Africa nexts 2 days :
Total accumulated precipitation and snow until the morning of day 9, near 5 inches(125mm) in the Southwest, there are a chance of snow in Table mountain near Cape Town.
Well, well, well - wonders will never cease! The lovely heavy rains have finally arrived
Hoping for a very wet June to make up for the horrible deficits of last month as well as the half half of April
That's one thing I like about here - prolonged evil dry spells always end with lovely wet bangs
That nasty and disgusting dry May is fast becoming a fading memory
Lots of heavy (at times very torrential) showers since yesterday evening and continuing. Up to 60mm recorded to 9am today and around 45mm since then - loving it
Was feeling very miserable and sour before this lovely "wet" event. So nice to hear/see lovely and cleansing screaming rains, lawns greening up rapidly, roads/gutters clean and cold south to sou'easters prevailing - much better than nasty icy and moisture-sucking sunny dry westerlies.
Loving the look of this forecast over the next week: Sydney Forecast -
this type of forecast brings tears of joy to my eyes - we deserve it after huffing and puffing through nearly seven weeks of terrible sunny and dry westerly weather
A lot of snow in the northwestern high plateau after a storm yesterday. Check the accumulation showed in the sat image: all the dry volcanic belt of the central andes are noticeable in the middle of the white spill

Temps in the zone this morning. Look at the circle showing "clouds" in a clear sky: that mean there were temps of -32ºC or even lower right there

Also it snowed today in the hills of Cordoba Province and even was close to reach the plains.
La Cumbrecita, Córdoba:
After the "cold snap" experienced in May, it's now quite warm here in Esquel. Temperature was in the neighborhood of 11°C around 7:30 pm. A few weeks ago temperatures were around 0-2°C at that same hour.

Enjoy the mildness while you can because models show a real cold blast next week :
