Not as much as Ral31 but hey.. 1.60" fell in 6.5hrs. And it's the most 24hr rain total (7am-7am) since November 30, 2016. Before that was May 30, 2016

Interesting the same clouds and system affecting the south is here now and both areas having very heavy precip associated with it.

Eh, this time of the year, that warmth never lasts. Watch that cold air behind it come sweeping through.

Those things are always just a tease.

Looks insane! If this does come true...let's just say I don't remember the last time we had consistent 70s in April here in Binghamton. Or consistent 80s in New York City. It's no surprise that the recent Aprils have been very underwhelming, so for us in the Northeast, it could be the biggest April warmth since 2012 or 2011...maybe even 2010!

Want to know how lame the Aprils here have been recently? (Binghamton) In 2008, we had 8 days above 70F. In 2009 it was 6. In 2010 it was 9. Sounds good right? Well since 2011, the max we had in any April was just 4! Since 2012, only 3! In 2015 Binghamton had more 70F days in ****ing November than April, lmao, ****ing joke

Since 2012, we've only had two days combined above 75F in April. In 2011 alone we had 3, and right now we're in the middle of a three year slump with the last 75F day in April being in 2014. It's no secret, that Upstate NY is a sad joke of a climate, but the endless stretch of cold and boring springs certainly hasn't helped us

LaGuardia Airport has been lame too. After 11 70F days in 2010, we've only had 6 max in a month since then! In 2015 we've had as many 70F days in April as November, while October always finishes with double digit 70F days. In terms of 80F days, we've only had one since 2014, and the last time we had multiple 80F days in April was way back in 2009, the year the Yankees were World Champions. This was once a regular occurrence, with mulitple 80F days in the Aprils of 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2009. If there is any month in which we are "overdue", it is April

WOW crazy stats. And WOW at the drop off.

Looks like 2001-2010 we were hitting 70s more.

Triggered a memory that I used to plant out easily and not worry 10 yrs ago vs recent yrs.
