Oregon? I'm going to be making the short drive up into SC that day I need 100% totality (my house is too far south and only getting 97%).

Only 0.3 inches of rain today. Less than I expected. It came down hard this afternoon, but was gone quicker than it started.

Really nice out now at 75 F. High today was 77 F.

Correction, ORD reached 82F/28C just before 6pm. The Chicago/Aurora airport out in the western suburbs made it 83F/28C

I'm thinking about headed into the mountains of southwestern NC or northwestern SC or just resorting to Greenville sc. Might try to stay with family in Charlotte then make the hours drive over that day.

Lake Ontario has set a new record high level at 248.77 feet. This is the highest level in 100 years of records and over 3 feet above average. This has lead to frequent lake shore flood watches and several lakeshore towns declaring a state of emergency.

Nice! Better high than low, especially after the previous lows a few years ago in the great lakes. Why are lake levels so high lately?

Lots of rain. March and April both had over 4" and May has had 3" in the first week. It's already 5th wettest spring since 1872 with half of May left.

It's 45° F on May 13! Have to turn on the heat because it's just too chilly. What a loser climate this is.

And on Thursday we'll be flirting with 90°F.
