Funny how here in FL you can clearly tell the metropolitan areas just because they voted blue (with the exception of Jacksonville and Pensacola).

That strip of blue across the middle of Alabama seems kind of random, maybe those counties have a high black population?

It seems that the Democrats are the party of the urban elites.

That's ridiculous to say. Many impoverished people in urban areas vote for the Democrats too. The wealthy techies and Hollywood stars are just about as representative of Democrat voters as sleazy businessmen and the Klan are representative of Republican voters

Yeah it's the same in Alabama and Mississippi. Voting goes straight down racial white/black lines. There are remarkably many counties going blue in Mississippi for such a safe red state.

Forgive my ignorance, it just seems that champagne socialists have established themselves as the official spokespeople of the left, which I don't think is remotely helpful to the cause.

If anything, I would say high class/rich big business owners have more of a propensity of voting Republican to get those tax breaks. I've noticed, even down here in South FL, a big correlation from people being born into a rich family and having big money and voting Republican at a young age. Lots of my peers from my HS (a preppy, rich high school with a bunch of spoiled brats) are republican voters at like 24-25 years of age. Luckily, most of South FL isn't like that though.

Excellent analysis. If this is what making America great again entails, I'm all for it! This country needs to be respected again on the world stage.
So now because Trump has done something to rub Putin up the wrong way you love him again? LOL, talk about fickle...

I care about consequences. You know the reservations I had (and still have) about Trump. I would be very happy to have been wrong about Trump.

That's ridiculous. Why do you place so much weight on one issue? Especially something that doesnt even affect you personally

For once I ageee with Trump. I think the airstrikes were a good response to many innocent civilians being gassed. And it shows that trump is capable of doing something that's not pro-Russian. I'm not sure how much we're actually "involved" now since sending an air strike isn't necessarily starting a war or using ground troops. Using air strikes in response to a horrid act is good as long as we don't use them frequently.
