But the government is disgustingly popular there - so suffice it to say, I would not exactly be fond of many, if not most, Russians.
But I certainly don't hate the minority of Russians who are pro-Ukrainian.
Most Russians have accepted that our government usually sucks, but the Americans don't like the russian government for all the wrong reasons. How about the fact that the Russian government has a tax system that disproportionately affects the poor? Or that the Russian government does not invest in almost any kind of social services? Or the horrible homophobia that the government helps to strengthen? That's the reason why everyone should hate the Russian government, not because of Krym!
