Of course I'm watching it on TV . To travel there would be a complete waste of time and money, especially since my home team isn't even playing.

I'm looking forward to that game as well.

This one was a similar temperature. -1F @ kickoff. NFC Championship Game, January 20, 2008 @ Green Bay. Full game here:

This year you'll have to enjoy it prior to the NFC Championship, I don't think it will be that cold in Charlotte.

In what way did he insinuate that he was flying to Minneapolis?

I would guess that the players would be able to handle that kind of cold fairly easily, since they'll running around and they have bulky fit bodies.

It's the fans that are probably in for it. I sat outside in a windless 0F for an hour once last February and it's not too easy without adequate clothing. Toes and fingers are the hardest to keep warm. I kept having to put my hands under my armpits to keep em warm. In turn I kept having to hold my toes with my hands. Insulated mitts and wool socks (or multiple socks) help. If one is sitting idly then that kind of cold will penetrate sneakers fairly easily, so thicker boots might be useful. With wind it's obviously worse.

Well, when the Republican Party is almost at ideological parity with UKIP, and the Democratic Party is about where the Conservatives are, what do you expect? However, the current state of politics in the US mainly comes from the South dragging the country down to the lowest common denominator. It will change though once enough of the Cold War generation is six feet under. This is the generation that grew up brainwashed that urban sprawl = freedom, and car safety standards are communism, among other ridiculous notions

The Dfb and Dfc seems to be quite on the cold end. IMO perfect representatives for Dfb are like Minsk or Montréal.

The Dfc seems to be extreme subarctic. Many classic subarctic climates also don't have a big seasonal lag, like you have in your climate box.

The Dfc climate is also extremely snow, only a few unusual geographies are that snowy. A Cwb climate is supposed to have dry winters; yours has even precipitation. Cfb climates tend to be somewhat wetter in winter than summer, though not extremely so. Dfa and Dfb climate away from the coasts usually have winters somewhat drier than summer.
