Special weather statement in effect for:

Central Okanagan - including Kelowna
North Okanagan - including Vernon
South Okanagan - including Penticton

Prolonged period of hot weather for Southern Interior of British Columbia.

A prolonged period of hot weather will start Saturday and continue through early next week. Temperatures will soar well into the 30's, peaking Sunday and Monday in the mid-30's.

Hot, dry weather can lead to higher fire risk. Please see the B.C. wildfire management branch website at bcwildfire.Ca for more details and fire safety tips.

Watch for symptoms of heat illness, which include - dizziness or fainting, nausea or vomiting - headache - rapid breathing and heartbeat - extreme thirst - decrease urination with unusually dark yellow urine.

If you experience any of these symptoms during extreme heat, immediately move to a cool place and drink liquids. Water is best.

We have a storm at the mid level of the atmosphere to our south and High Pressure at the surface. Clouds all day. Forecast bust 3rd day in a row with 50s yesterday and 60s today. (they thought 70s). Clouds will remain overnight.

Departures. 5-15 below normal from North Carolina to Rhode Island. Even Boston 13 below normal right now.

You had a blue sky with puffy clouds, at least. Our clouds didn't dissipate till around 2.

Nope... I got lucky with that picture of some blue. Pokes of sun here and there around lunch/early afternoon but that was it. Sun wasn't out 90% of the day. Hence my max temp only 65°. All clouds after that picture. Notice my Satellite maps with clouds over me.

I can only go back 4 hours with the software but that puts it back to when that picture was taken... Here's a look from 2:20pm to 6pm every half hour. Take a look at the CT Panhandle. I see some clearing to my south now but still cloudy over me. 6:30pm.

Pretty cool to see MA and most of CT clouds dissipate throughout the day Boston stayed in the 50s with sun?

Easterly airflow kept coastal spots in Massachusetts cool. You think tomorrow will be cloudy?

Yeah, thinking we have clouds around again....more me then you though, with chance of showers. So a similar day tomorrow. Wow! What do 70s feel like again? LOL

Saturday 70s and clear!
Sunday 60s(for me) and clear!
