Cool map! I'm not in a bad area, but on the edge of really having reliable winters every year. Some years can be like Washington DC while others can be like Upstate NY.

Coldest start to May for Hartford in 3 decades (since 1986).
Bridgeport, CT since 1987.

-7.5 below normal at BDL so far. It's been a while since we experienced a cold like this first week of May

The highest temperature during a rainfall event was 30.3 °C at Kahl am Main. That was a rare exception though. Most summer rainfall occurs during 15-20 °C temps.

And it rained the day (1 mm in the evening) when we recorded our new record high of 39.8 °C last year.

HISTORY:::

The last 111 yrs Hartford has always gotten above 57°F the 1st 5 days of May......until this year.
Lowest Max temp on record! Nobody alive today experienced this type of cold 1st 5 days of May.

It definitely feels weird!

Take note, usually we hit 60s and 70s! They haven't even past 54° this May yet!

That is a cool map ( Glacier X normal annual snowfall), though it doesn't clearly indicate what's happening in my region.

From the NWS Twin Cities facebook page.

Lake superior looks like it's roughly 40 degrees there.

Wow, that's horrible. Even the coldest major city in Canada, Winnipeg, has been 95 degrees this year.
