Not sure why some are slow to get it or ignoring it. (1 or the other).
recent eruptions could be responsible for decreasing global temperaturesby 0.05 to 0.12 degrees Celsius (0.09 to 0.22 degrees Fahrenheit)since 2000.
Oceans had a big role in the warming we did have is the other thing many don't know.
But the fact that 9 out of 10 of the worlds 10 hottest years on record are recorded during the 00s and 10s, this suggests to me that the world hasn't cooled down?!

Averaging land sea temperatures doesn't say much about global warming one way or another. You have to look at the whole planet, and the way to do that is to measure sea level. 2/3 of the planet is under water, and the sea controls the climate. Sea levels are rising. This is due to two causes: 1) Land ice is melting, and 2) Water expands when it is heated.
It's likely we are heading back to the Holocene Climatic Optimum
when the poles were much warmer but low and mid latitudes were about the same temperature. Northern Europe was warmer, Southern Europe was wetter, the Sahara got moderate rainfall and forests extended farther north. For instance, the Orkneys were forested.
I don't see this as a catastrophic climate change. There will surely be winners and losers. Some of the losers will be very populated parts of India, Florida and the Low Countries, mostly due to sea level rise. Countries fronting on the Mediterranean will likely benefit greatly, though Venice is doomed.
With massive investment in infrastructure, we might manage to wean ourselves off of fossil fuels in the next century, though population growth will likely overwhelm all our efforts. In fact, it's too late to stop the train, it's already half off the cliff. All we can do is buckle in and hope we don't hit bottom in our lifetimes.
If the globe hasn't warmed - then why are the worlds warmest years on record recorded within the last 16 years? Hmmm? Some guys just don't see the facts and just give opinions and non-facts
Warmest since 1880. So what? How warm was it before then world wide? We don't know because there were no thermometers.
There have been times in the last 420,000 years when Antarctica was about 3 degrees warmer.
Ocean levels have been rising at a normal level. None of the dire predictions have occurred.
I voted unsure although I have historically considered global warming to be naturally occurring.
If there is any man-made effect on global warming, 99% of it can be justifiably blamed on China. They are polluting the atmosphere far more than anyone else at this point. I will not tolerate any personal sacrifices relating to global warming until China is held accountable for their pollution and its affects on the Pacific Ocean.
So if there's no climate change, then why is the Ice Caps melting at a ridiculous rate?
There are many reasons for this including volcanoes. The other is that we have come out of an ice age, so even during the coldest year on record ice is melting. No one says there isn't climate change, nor denys the fact that most of the top 10 warmest years on record have occurred from 1998 to the present.

Let's have a math lesson. Let's say you have the numbers 1 to 100. Now, let's say that for the past 6 years you have the numbers 100, 99, 98, 97, 96, 95. Now, this is clearly a sequence of numbers above the average of 50, record breaking if you will, but the trend is downward. Therefore, you CAN have cooling even if 9 of the 10 hottest years on record have been within the past 16 years. For the record, we have not had cooling, or at least not more than a few years and therefore not long enough to show a trend.
Vikings lived on Greenland about 700 years ago and global evidence of the medieval wam period from around 900 to 1300 indicates the earth was warmer then than now.
The warmest 20 years per Goddard Institute for Space Studies as updated quietly on 5.27.2009 to correct errors introduced by some believing evil man is the cause of global climate change are:
1934, 1998, 1921, 2006, 1931, 1999, 1953, 1990, 1938, 1954, 1939, 1987, 2001, 2007, 1986, 2005, 1946, 1991, 1933 and 1981.
The Antarctic is not suffering a loss of ice mass as the Arctic is. The photos and hysteria about an Antarctic ice sheet melt ignores the big picture. Claims the Arctic pole ice sheet is thinner than in recent history are refuted by a military picture of a submarine at the pole in 1959.
CO2 is simply too small a factor in atmospheric contribution to greenhouse effects to be the cause much less due to mans activity which contribute less than 5% to CO2. The major forces impacting warming/cooling cycles are sun eruptions radiation and volcano spewing CO2 and ash into the atmosphere. Sciences ability to predict the earths reaction to volcano produced CO2 is dismal. The earth is more complex and adaptive than many want to acknowledge.
Our climate has always changed. Any species that can't adapt is long gone
Wonder if the past warming periods were man made too. Lol.
Yes!! The climate naturally fluctuates through warm and cold periods.
