I have no idea when our last average freeze date is.. sometimes it can be February, sometimes March, sometimes April.. I think it has been in January before even..
2015: 5 March (so far)
2014: 24 March
2013: 7 April (this surprises me as it was our coldest spring in 50 years)
2012: 6 April
2011: 19 March
2010: 8 March
2009: 6 March
2008: 8 April
2007: 22 March
2006: 19 March
It seems that the last week of March is about normal here.

Here is a detailed summer of MDW's first and last 32F/0C dates including earliest and latest since 1980
Seems quite consistent, would have thought it would vary a bit more than that
It's because spring warms up very fast here (and even more there). Even though daily variability is high (though it's declining in spring), the temperature increase in mid-spring is larger. 10th percentile here: April 22nd. 90th percentile: May 16. So last freeze ranges in a period of about 3 weeks.

Goodness gracious those are way too early, we had a proper frost here yesterday my mum had to defrost the car. We are due many more next week.

Interesting.
Generally ours will be from early March - early April, but we have had frosts in May before, and we have also had our last frosts occur in winter. I'd guess our last freeze range was anywhere from late February - late April using 5th and 95th percentile.
