Taken on 103rd St and Harlem Ave on the Southside of Chicago by my cousin (weather freak like myself)
Calumet City
Later.... Hail and lots of flooding
Oh god look at the cloud. We are seeriously terrified for the storms we are gonna see in Florida and I am sure we will see tons as we are there all July!!
WPC qpf forecast next 7 days. Most of it comes on Friday but starts Thursday. The trough over the Rocky mountains right now will slowly move east and push a front with it..
Slow moving front with upper level trough with gulf moisture feed = heavy rainfall.
By late in the week, we wont make it out of the 50's
Same with parts of southern New England. Max temps tomorrow in the 50s/60s. Our reason is different from yours though. Nice hail/flooding pic BTW that was sick. I thought it was a winter picture with the chunks of icy waters.
Here in Denver, I have about 3" of snow built up, but nothing on any pavement from this storm (it was around 70 on Saturday). Most trees seem to be ok, but I have a couple that are bent down a lot. So far, it hasn't been below 32 at my house, but it can still snow at this elevation while the ground temps are above 32. Big issue is that it's supposed to drop to the mid 20s tonight. I'm not sure how the trees will take that since most are completely green with leaves.
This is my 12th year in Denver and I've never seen the weather be this insane! We're supposed to be in the 80s by the weekend.
