Here are two different Januaries (sorry, cold and snow lovers, neither one has snow but pick the lesser of the two evils). Rate each January separately, then choose the one you like better. Try to guess the location(s) of each January.
January A-95 percent of possible sunshine with large diurnal ranges with mostly warm days and crisp nights (occasional ground frost but no subfreezing temperatures). Only a trace of rainfall in once during the entire month.

I pick B. I could see A being Las Vegas or someplace out west. B is a bit tougher... could be Charleston, SC. Maybe not what you had in mind, but it could fit. The place has been on my mind since I was there a few weeks ago.

Actually, believe it or not both A and B are from the same location; one is much drier than normal and the other is wetter than normal for the norms. NOW try to guess.....

January 2012 Vs. January 2013 in Dallas makes the most sense to me.
