Both have similar year round temperatures (winters especially) and almost the same amount of annual rainfall (except, though, one's rainfall is seasonal and the other is more uniform). Either way, both are very warm climates. Now which do you think is more preferable for you?
Haifa for being a bit warmer. Although I would prefer Liverpool for the summer monsoons.
Sydney isn't affected by monsoons. Our rain weather comes from the southeast and it's always cool when it happens. In rare occasions, when tropical cyclones are intense and spreading in the north, we get to have warm monsoonal rains. Last time it happened was in Feb 2010. Still rare though.
By monsoon, I meant thunderstorm, not rainfall/wind pattern. Sorry for the confusion.
