It's not terribly unusual to be this hot on Memorial Day. Last summer, however, it was relatively cool for Dallas. I was hoping for another coolish summer.

What really concerns me is what does this possibly bode for July/August?

Wow, I know Phoenix is hot but is this typical this early in the season?

Yeah, we can hit 100 as early as March, but usually the first 100 is in mid May. 108 would be a record though if we do hit that. After today and then tomorrow's forecasted 107 it's supposed to cool down a little...but this time of year the "cool down" will be short-lived.

Currently 97 with an expected high of 110 where I live. It was 107 yesterday but by Thursday they are forecasting 79 for a high. Very bizarre weather!!
I don't really mind the cool down but it is coming with high winds which is VERY annoying. I would rather it stayed in the 90's and low 100's with no wind. It's better pool weather.

It was 52 earlier this morning and we're heading for 79 and it's supposed to be windy today. We'll be above average today, but our long range forecast may even get a bit chilly.
You would love the Texas Hill Country... generally warm year round, with very low populations. There are plenty of areas in Uvalde, Bandera, Real, and Edwards county who have population densities of under 1 person per square mile.

I went camping in Uvalde County this weekend, here's a pic:

We're in for a scorcher today:

We did hit 94 during the noon hour, so 100 does look very feasible.

Anthony that is gorgeous! Wonder if we could move our little house right into that flat clearing in the center?

Currently in Duncan, OK

Wind: SW at 17 mph
Humidity: 23%

Something tells me we are going to "top" that predicted high of 96°

Hey Garson, I hear you there with this crazy weather stuff....and the winds! I don't know if you got the dust storm in the west valley last thursday, but we got it here in the southeast valley. It was like a classic monsoon dust storm IN MAY!
