Low of 13 this morning, coldest of the winter so far....lame. We've been switching between the 30's and 40's almost everyday this week, because those god forsaken southwest winds kick up every other day This may be arctic air for some places, for here it's something I call average to slightly below average. Arctic would be 20's all day.
I love this!
Currently in Houston, TX
Cloudy 45°F

Dew Point: 38°F
Humidity: 76%
Pressure: 30.30 inches
Wind: From the North Northeast at 13 mph
Today: Cloudy with showers. High 46F. Winds NNE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 40%.
Tonight: Cloudy with a few showers. Low 42F. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.
Well, here in Northern Maine it has struggled up to 7*F. Didn't think it would make it to the positive side today, but it jumped up in temp over the last hour or so here. Tonight is going to be around -20*F with wind chills around -30*F. Not that I care, I don't plan on being out this evening much.
I just wonder how you people can survive and continue living life in these -20 and -30 temps. I would basically stop functioning. I have a hard time dealing with 50ºF weather.
a better few days here, mid 80's today and tomorrow, and next week has been upgraded to the 80º range thank god. 80-81F is basically the summer average here.

There is the difference. Most of us who live in the -20/-30 temps would feel we were going to melt at the temp, you feel comfortable with. Honestly, I might call off a job if it is below-20, the day IS going to be called off if it is 90 or above. 80+ days are just miserable for me.

Same with me. I don't understand why people volunteer to live in this weather. Below 65* and the weatherman/weatherwoman tells us it's gonna be a cold day out there. Sure enough, it is. Lately, it hasn't gotten above 55* during the day. It's been windy and rainy all week long and it's supposed to continue through Tuesday.
Right now, it's only 54*, but there are 20mph winds so it feels pretty cold. It's also very damp now due to all the rain. My school was flooded in some areas.

I love the cold temperatures and can tolerate cold weather much easier than hot weather. Having northern European heritage also helps I guess

Quick question...what is dew point?
The dew point is a measurement of how much moisture is in the air. The closer the temperature is to the dewpoint the higher the humidity gets. If you have an air temp of 55F and a dewpoint of 54F the humidity is around 97%.

The Southern Hempishere winter temperatures are like a joke to those of us who live in the Northern Hemisphere. LOL
