We're finally up to -5 today. -4 is the projected high. It was -22 this morning. At 6:00am we got an automated call that school was pre-empted for 2 hours, then at 7:00 another call came that it was canceled. So it is nice being home today and not at work. I bet the buses wouldn't start and it's way too dangerous for kids to walk. Not often do schools close in Wyoming. Maybe tomorrow it will get above zero and we'll be back to normal!

It's 28 degrees in my area of the DFW metroplex. It will get down into the low 20s tonight. I've got a few logs on the fire to bring some Holiday cheer into the old homestead.

The good news is the wind is dying down so the windchill is "only" -28.
