Well maybe the Atlanta area isn't too cold for me, but it's still cool enough (or north enough) that for my tastes, it's "heat island" is a good thing.

Atlanta is just as far south as Myrtle Beach and Columbia SC, and those places average about 67-68 F for their March monthly average. I'd suspect that by April 1st they average at least 71-72 F, since I KNOW Columbia averages 77-78 F in April.

Nope, no place quite as cold as those. Just Northern Maine. Just outside of Caribou, and we have had a bit of snow this year. 189" and still counting. Not as bad as some other areas to the West of us, but still more than enough. Problem is we don't get any major thaws during the winter months and when the snow comes, it stays around for awhile.

What I look forward to is the warm "snow eating" fog that develops in the Spring. A nice thick fog, temps above freezing, and a slight breeze just makes it go away. Darn the bad luck.

WOOO-HOOO~it's our high of the day and it's 53 degrees with no windchill. BUT the winds are roaring. They've been 35 plus miles per hour all day long with gusts well into the 40s. They're supposed to die down in another hour and then it might be pleasant out.

They are supposed to be getting extremely strong winds tomorrow southwest of here like in Colo and other areas.

ILOVENC, I think your weather sounds just fabulous!!! Weren't we going to trade places?
