Dew points and snowmelt.

Theres 2 things I noticed that destroy a snowpack more than temps themselves.. Fog... and higher dews.

Our DP reached 51°F today. Four days ago it was -8°F.

Dew points are above 30F for the first time in weeks.

Wonder what 55F dews will feel like on Friday .

Flow right from the tropics. Also the rains coming too.

Dewpoint forecast per Euro model. 60s up to Virginia!

5-6 days ago the dew points were 65-80 degrees lower than they are today.




Hartford -19°F (-28C) Jan 6th to 59°F (15C) today! 78 Degree swing!




Bridgeport at the coast. -13°F (-25C) January 7th to 54°F (12C) today.

Dew points 7am January 7th on the left.. vs 5 days later this afternoon on the right.


(These aren't the lows or highs!)

Atlantic City Arctic dry -10° to Humid 60°.
Providence -18° to 59°.
Boston -16° to 58°
NYC -7° to 60°
