More than half the days that month hitting an 80F+ dewpoint? Seems very questionable. I was due east in Brunswick from the 17th until the morning of the 19th and it didn't get above 77.

Any other data to suggest otherwise? I thought this was a NWS station.

NWS stations can and do malfunction.

We were recently talking about another one in Georgia:

And of course, South Carolina last year:

As crazy as that sounds, it's at least in the heart of summer. It's still not as bad IMO as the low 90s that region (Waycross, Jesup ect.) had during the 1st week of November last fall. Yes, November. I believe the dews were in the 70s. It was record breaking, and not just daily, but monthly as well.

So you think all those dewpoints in Waycross are errors?

I imagine it's reading 3-4F too high most of the time. If not, that is absolutely remarkable.

Yeah, just so tough knowing 100% when an extreme like that happens and no other areas support it..I think. Looks like Sumter got fixed, I haven't seen crazy numbers from there anymore. Wonder if Waycross is reading a bit too high too.

Here's a few graphics for Waycross.

Min-Max dews this year so far Doesn't look like 80s is a definite error being that's its been hitting but that doesn't mean anything. Still can be off a few.

Average Dews for July
