Warmest: I think something like Lytton, British Columbia (even though it is 50 °N, it often gets heat waves of around 35/40 °C)
Coldest: Winnipeg, maybe? (slightly souther than Lytton, it often gets cold waves of around -35/-40 °C)
Places I don't want to live because of the climate: very hot deserts like Mecca and Phoenix, and arctic climates like Nunavut and Chukotka.
It depends on what you would define by coldest. In terms of lack of year round warmth, I wouldn't want to live anywhere more lacking in warmth than Aberdeen, UK.
But I could tolerate Winnipeg's frigid winters, looking forward to the summer warmth.
As for warmest climate, Phoenix would be about the warmest that I'd be willing to live in.
I can tolerate those frigid winters as they're snowy and summer is comfortable.
Nice climate. Dudinka - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Winters are too cold for too long even for me, but all that snow makes it seem more appealing. I don't think I'd be willing to live in that kind of climate on a permanent basis, but I'd gladly move there temporarily (perhaps up to 5 years) for the winters.
Ah yes, I meant to put Dome Fuji as coldest and Vostok as warmest.
