I created a fictional climate called "LOCO." It is based on very comfortable and dry winters followed by a brief, warm, and rainy spring (all the rain falls within a 2 month window and yes, thunderstorms every day that it rains ). Then comes the HOTTEST WEATHER you can ever imagine for summer into early fall and then back to just regular "hot" weather in late fall and finally back down into comfortable, dry weather when you hit winter again.

What kind of grade would you give LOCO?

Absolute horror. Z-. Even if winters had highs in the teens and snow, it would still get a Z (maybe a Z+?) because of those deadly summers. I think that my fictional Oymyakon Station is far more habitible than this hellhole.

Ok- but if you had to pick between "LOCO" and my other fictional climate of "PARADISE PLATEAU" (which has MUCH colder winters than your fictional Oymyakon Station) https://www.city-data.com/forum/weath...e-plateau.html, which would you pick?

F for me. Only an uncooked pizza could enjoy Loco's summers

I won't pick either one, because both are uninhabitable and unimaginable. If I was forced to pick one at gunpoint, I'd pick Paradise Plateau. I could be out for 3 months in Paradise Plateau, and 2 months in Loco.

Ok- I won't do a "battle of the climates thread" on this one but the point of both of these fictional climates was to create a climate cold enough for even the cold lovers to hate and another climate hot enough for even the heat lovers to hate. They also both have brief "comfortable seasons," unlike the real Vostok and other fictional hot climate of "Ad." https://www.city-data.com/forum/weath...limate-ad.html even though their extreme weather is more extreme in both of my extreme fictional climates. So far both have gotten all F's and Z's even from the most extreme cold lovers and extreme heat lovers .

D, a tad too hot in the summer but I could adapt by evolving into a very hardy lizard.

D, very uncomfortably hot most of the year but seems dry throughout the extremely hot part; I imagine it could be livable although in the hottest part of the year I guess it would be truly deadly by day outside. Kind of cool in how extremely hot it is. Paradise Plateau OTOH is horrible all the year.
