Which climate do you prefer? I chose Honolulu for warmer winters and less summer heat/mugginess.

honolulu, no doubt. Brownsville would be too extreme heatwise for me just like where I live now is too cold. Hawaii's climate is perfect, but I'll never live there.

Brownsville. It has a cooler period, for more seasonal variation and for those who like to have a "winter" and also a lot more thunderstorms.

Honolulu in a heartbeat. Brownsville is much cloudier and bound to feel more oppressive with it given the temperatures.

I have to go with Honolulu because you can't get a freeze there, whereas there will be winters when Brownsville gets a hard freeze. That means no coconut palms! Althought I believe they do grow coconut palms in Brownsville, they just get killed off every couple decades. Plus you have to deal with intense humidity and bugs in Brownsville. I assume the humidity is related to the warmer ocean temps of the Gulf compared to cooler waters surrounding Hawaii in the Pacific.

This is true, that's why there's a monsoon in Brownsville that Hawaii doesn't really get. However, winter waters around Hawaii are much warmer than Brownsville's winter waters.

Honolulu though I don't like it much due to lack of seasons. Brownsville is just too hot and humid in summer.

I think Honolulu temps are perfect but it's horribly dry but it's still better than TX.
