honolulu, no doubt. Brownsville would be too extreme heatwise for me just like where I live now is too cold. Hawaii's climate is perfect, but I'll never live there.
I have to go with Honolulu because you can't get a freeze there, whereas there will be winters when Brownsville gets a hard freeze. That means no coconut palms! Althought I believe they do grow coconut palms in Brownsville, they just get killed off every couple decades. Plus you have to deal with intense humidity and bugs in Brownsville. I assume the humidity is related to the warmer ocean temps of the Gulf compared to cooler waters surrounding Hawaii in the Pacific.

This is true, that's why there's a monsoon in Brownsville that Hawaii doesn't really get. However, winter waters around Hawaii are much warmer than Brownsville's winter waters.
I think Honolulu temps are perfect but it's horribly dry but it's still better than TX.
