Thank you- I find creating fictional extreme climates far more interesting than rating real ones cuz these stretch the imagination. I know there's no place on earth that gets NO RAIN but what if there was.....
Why don't you try creating your own fictional climates (that are somewhat realistic!)
Rain everyday, because then I could get the brief tropical summer thunderstorms at least, and just a few months of the chilly calm rains. Sunshine is nice, but I could never live somewhere too arid.

Some places in the Atacama desert would come pretty close to NO RAIN. Direct quote from the wikipedia article
"The average rainfall in the Chilean region of the Atacama Desert is .004 inches per year, meaning it gets 4 inches of rain in a thousand years. Some weather stations in the Atacama have never received rain."

I created this poll months ago before I found about that Atacama climate (through this forum, of course).

That's cool. I just thought I'd bring it up in case you weren't aware of it
It's amazing how little rain there can be in a coastal city such as this. Antofagasta - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It would be VERY interesting to be there on the rare occasion they get rain just to watch the reaction of the locals .
We've covered this elsewhere. The lowest currently accepted 30-year average is for Arica, but it needs updating, as Iquique has been drier of late. The 30-year mean for Antofagasta is 1.7mm, but only 0.6mm for Iquique and 0.5mm for Arica, subject to the above comment. Arica's record goes back about 100 years and the average for the whole timespan is only about 0.8mm.
The "some weather stations have never recorded rain" claim is not substantiated by any information from meteoChile that I have found (one needs a few decades of data at the very least to make this claim as both Arica and Iquique have had long runs of rainless years). I suspect the statement is simply anecdotal and unassessed meteorologically.
