I think I'll go with Nairobi for more sunshine and less precip days.
(Slight) preference for Mexico City for its cooler "winter" temperatures and overall drier climate. The sunshine difference between the two cities isn't that great to influence my choice.

Same reason and also I like that Nairobi has a less pronounced "wet and dry" season.
