This is probably the best climate in Norway outside of Svalbard. It's actually got cold winters (though still much warmer than Canada, Alaska or Siberia at that latitude). The rest of the country is ridiculously and disappointingly mild for its latitude. Above freezing averages in the coldest months in the Arctic... sheesh.
Pretty good climate. Solid winters that are cold, but not too cold and summers are comfortable. Would prefer summer averages to be slightly warmer, but I'll take a July high of 64 F over what I deal with now.
D-. Would have been an E if the option was available. With just a single month averaging a high above 60F, summer isn't nearly warm or long enough. The summer precipitation peak is also annoying.
It says something about this forum that this place in northern Norway got as many A's as it did F's.
The same can be said for a place like Dallol or Honolulu
