I give Macquarie Island C. Too boring without real summer or winter.

I think you're mistaking the record highs as average highs.

The UK weather is going to be identical to Macquarie Island until April.

You're right, I was making that mistake. 14C is about the average high for Lerwick in July and August. And I was mistaking the average highs for the average lows.

Well, that certainly cements its Failing grade.

D+. While not quite ideal, I'd certainly take its constant chill and gloom over the likes of, say, Dubai, Riyadh, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, etc.

F-

Pathetic excuse of a climate. One of the worst in the world - reaching the likes of Mecca, Singapore, Yakutsk, Vostok Station, Anchorage...

Its feeble sunshine hours and excessive rain give it the extremely low rating for me, not the cool year round temps. If it was a sunny, dry climate despite the temps I would've given it a solid E.

I find it funny how its winters are still not as cold as New York's.
