No thunderstorms this March as well (and there will probably be no more for another six months).
Probably if those awful westerlies prevail. Looks like a couple of days of rain/showers coming up for coastal SE QLD, we won't get it here this time around unfortunately

25C in Melbourne at 11:45pm. Last breath of summer for the next 6-8 months.

Only drawback is this freaking wind... slamming all the doors in the house and buffeting and banging everything.

The weather finally feels like it's starting to settle down to "normal" autumn weather, although it is forecast to rain for the next 2-3 days.

I'm actually looking forward to a solid week of dry weather, nights getting down towards 10C in parts, day temps not getting above 26-27 either. This is about as good as it gets for this time of year, we're still in summer (or very early autumn) after all.

Talking Looks like I left just in time!

Perth's getting a lot of cold nights lately (under 15 C/59 F )

Autumn in Townsville:

Lukewarm, damp sunrises
Warm and damp by about 8:30am
Very sweaty from about 10:30am until before sunset.
Warmish/Coolish damp evenings; still sweaty before midnight if you're not in a breeze.

(Dewpoints consistantly around 23 C/ 73-74 F)

I'm so happy it's still summer here.
The sun came back today and shone most of the day.

The best thing for me about being in North Queensland is
knowing we still have 1-2 solid months of uninterrupted-summer left.

Actual autumn/chill?
I don't expect I'll see a single chilly morning until late April or sometime in May.

There are a couple of days in July where you may see a sub 10C morning in Townsville, but other than that it's perpetual summer. Though I guess it depends where you live, I've heard (anecdotally) of frost on the outskirts of Townsville.

BTW, were you affected by the tornado?

A relatively cool and sunny day with a max of 26.4C / 80F the windchill made it feel around 22C / 71F...felt quite cold sitting in the shade with the breeze after a hot summer.
