Anyway, for my monthly summary...
Average high: 29 F (-2 C)
Average low: 14 F (-10 C)
Average mean: 22 C (-6 C)
Absolute high: 43 F (6 C)
Absolute low: -1 F (-18 C)
High low: 32 F (0 C)
Low high: 13 F (-11 C)
December was mild (6.9F above normal) and dry, receiving less than half the normal precipitation. It began on a seasonable note, with single-digit temperatures dominating for lows the first ten day of the month, but took a much milder-than-average course for the remainder of the month. There were a total of 12 days with maximum temperatures above freezing, peaking at a record high of 43 on the 26th. Superior, the city across the bridge from Duluth in Wisconsin, reached into the 50's that day. I don't know the number of average days above freezing for December, but I'm guessing 3-4. Minimums were also often high, with minimum temperatures in the 30's on the 12th through 14th, associated with cloudy conditions.
