Hungary in Dec/Jan 1999-00, there was plenty of snow but I don't think the temp got much below -5 to -6C during our 3 week stay, and my memory is hazy (was 11 at the time).
Therefore I have never experienced a temp below about -7C.
right now it is 8 degrees out and I was walking outside with shirts and tshirt and it was so cold my lips were chattering. Totally not used to it and not ready for it yet. but in January this would be dream come true.
Meanwhile last week I was sleeping outside where the low was only went down to 23c with 75% humidity.
Yea. Although I still don't think that 8c is that cold because to me it is just a little chilly.
The record coldest reading at Central Park is -15F
