The first snow of the season just started to fall a couple of minutes ago. BEAUTIFUL! Hurray for snow! Temps expected to fall and be mostly at or below freezing the next couple of days before warming back to the upper 30s and 40s.

Still pretty cloudy out there, but it looks as though the snow has stopped for now. Hopefully it will be back though. Think it is supposed to snow a little more before this system is through. Temperatures are also expected to drop lower. Not even supposed to get above freezing for the next two days. We'll see. I'm hoping the forecast is right, or better yet, wrong and it will stay colder longer and be snowier!

It has been snowing on and off since last night. There is a very nice dusting of white outside. The snow (and even hail) is falling now as I type this. So nice, too bad it won't last longer than a few days.

The HIGH for tomorrow is supposed to be 25 degrees. I'm LOVING this cold, snowy weather!!!!!!!!!!

Clear sunny skies with a blanket of white covering the ground. It is not expected to get above freezing for another 48 hours. My thermometer is showing several degrees warmer than what the news is currently reporting (which is 21 degrees). I wonder if the sun has been hitting the sensor.

The wind has calmed down quite a bit since last night. The snow drift on my back deck is a number of inches deep. It is a dry, powdery snow.

I am absolutely LOVING this wintery weather!!!!!

(The temperature on my thermometer since I started typing this post has gone up to 31.3. News still reporting 21 degrees. The sun must be hitting the sensor, or else it is warmer here than at the airport, which isn't really all too far from me. lol).

Okay, so the sun MUST be hitting my thermometer sensor. My downstairs neighbor says his is reading in the 20s and has been all day.

EDIT to add:

And now that the sun has shifted to the point it is no longer shining in the direction of the thermometer sensor, it is reporting a dropping temperature.

^Hope you're enjoying the cold and snow. Looks like Seattle may break a new record low tomorrow morning (15 F in 1985).

Partly Cloudy
52 F
Dewpoint 43 F
Humidity 72%

A beautiful, cool, comfortable evening. Window is open, letting all the fresh air into my room. Colder weather expected tomorrow with gusty winds and highs in the 40s. Still warm enough to leave the window open all day tomorrow.
