Hi,

I'm looking for a nice, relaxing place to stay somewhere between Bainbridge and Port Townsend. I'm going to Bainbridge for a work meeting and the next day is my birthday, so I'm treating myself to a bit of an escape.

I'd like to be able to get up in the morning and go for a short hike, and then have a nice lunch before I catch a ferry back to Seattle in the afternoon. Someplace quiet would be perfect. Something comfortable would be good, too - not really looking to rough it on this trip. I like the look of the Quinnault Lodge, but that's a bit much of a drive for such a short trip.

I'd also rather not stay in a B&B, unless you can convince me it's a non-typical B&B.

Thanks in advance!

This is a little further than Port Townsend, but I've done this trip in just a day quite comfortably (more of an early evening ferry back versus afternoon though).

Stay in Sequim and wake in the morning and take an early walk at the Dungeness Spit. The Olympic view on a clear day is gorgeous.

Pt. Townsend for a get-away evening is a really nice trip as well though! I'm not sure how much the ferry to Whidbey Island is running right now, but if it is, that's a nice option to for the return, take a hike on Whidbey Island (Ebey's Landing) before taking another ferry back to Mukilteo.
