I am divorcing and considering renting a home in Bonney Lake. I have lived in the Seattle area for ten years, and currently live in the Lakeland Hills section of Auburn. I have heard good and bad things about Bonney Lake, and would like to get opinions on crime and safety for a single woman with a small child -- we would be in a small house right off of 410, not in one of the larger subdivisions. Neighborhood looks ok, but I can't get the stigma out of my head, so wanted to get opinions...

Thanks!

Default Bonney lake

Like most areas you have both good and bad areas. Bonney lake on the Fred meyer side of 410 can be dicey. I have friends who live in Bonney lake especially on the Home depot side which is nicer. Hope this helps.

I would live that area before living in Seattle if that will give you a complete curve to you opinion.

Wow.... I don't think I've ever heard "Bonney Lake" and "dicey" in the same sentence.

The area along 410 between S. Prairie Rd and 214th Ave (AKA the Fred Meyer side) was developed long before the other areas along 410, and before the stricter zoning that came with later development, so there are older homes, mobile homes, etc. It's not a bad, or "dicey" area by any means.
