I just wanted to say that I have looked at every picture on this thread over the past few days, and now I want to move to Washington. Seriously, I had been planning on moving in the next few years to a greener state, and Washington is it. I especially like the area called The Palouse. And I want to thank everyone who posted pics here..loved them all!

Well, since the pass is snowy today and traction tires were advised, we didn't make it to Cle Elum or to Teanaway. But we did go to North Bend, and hiked the trail at Twin Falls.

Some pictures from flying across the Cascades this past week. Unfortunately the west side was overcast most of the day so I wasn't able to get much in the way of pictures from that side. Sorry about the crappy quality from my DroidX

Mt Rainier high above the clouds (Adams faintly visible):

The clouds finally end (Baker visible in the distance):

Mt Stuart:

Some people don't realize how much drier it is east of the Cascades, demonstrated here by the foothills near Wenatchee:

Landing in Wenatchee (I wasn't flying this leg):

Columbia Plateau:

Landing at the Grand Coulee Dam airport, also known as Electric City airport. Unfortunately I flew the leg out and was unable to get any pictures of the dam itself.

Finally enough visibility to take a somewhat decent picture on the west side:

Beautiful photos! You surely showed the pictures of different landscapes with their own microclimates across Washington.
