I have sent several emails to realtors in Davenport about renting available apartments, and apparently they disreguard out of state emails. Can anyone tell me if there are any old boarding houses or hotels in Davenport? To me, realtors are a bunch of cut throat bastards anyway. Any info appreciated......William Page

Closest rentals are in Airway Heights, on the outskirts of Spokane:

About a 26-mile drive.

I haven't been through there in a couple of years, but I doubt there are any apartments of any kind in Davenport.

I would look on facebook marketplace in that area or Craigslist for rentals.

There won't be many Realtors IN that area (cut throat bastards or otherwise ) who would focus on rentals.

But Craigslist works, and even moreso lately.... local Facebook community pages and groups, and Facebook Marketplace

Davenport is a very small town, under 2,000 residents. It is also quite isolated, mostly a hub for local farmers. Rentals? I'm sure there are some, but few and far between. Why would anyone be interested in this town without a reason to live there? (Nothing against Davenport, but really?)

Small rural farming communities... Word of mouth (no one needs / desires to advertise).

You network with the appropriate people and you will find the right spot.
I suggest churches, senior centers, cafes, feed store / grain elevator / hardware / grocery. Veterinarians, (people who know people...)

Probably a very nice apartment above a garage or the daylight basement of a home. for <$500 / month.
