Our water here in Sammamish comes from Aquifers, not the snow runoff, and we have still had plenty of rain to replenish the supply despite the warmer, sunnier than normal winter.

Well, I don't know anything about Sammamish, but I don't think that represents the majority of the state. According to this article in the Seattle Times, 70% of Seattle's water supply is dependent on the mountain snowpack:

And according to the graph on this page from KREM2, Western Washington's snowpack is the most critically low:

Washington and Idaho snowpacks far below normal

This year may end up being a big deal for our water supply. I don't really miss the snow either, but it's just not worth it to have a few extra days of dry weather.
