My husband works near the intersection of Hwy 12 and I-5. Currently he commutes 50 minutes to work, and it's not great, but doable. There is a possibility we may be relocating to Southern California, but if not we are looking at moving somewhere with better schools. Currently we live in the White Pass school district. I will have two kids going into elementary school this coming school year for the first time. We have been homeschooling but I really just need a break as I have 2 younger kids too.

We are looking for a home with at least three bedrooms, and a fenced in backyard. We are looking to rent, with $1400 being our max. Yelm seems to have some decent schools and has homes in our price range, but it is quite a long commute. Any other suggestions? Any help is very appreciated.

When you say that your husband works near the intersection of Hwy 12 and I-5, that could mean one of two places as US12 and I-5 actually piggyback each other from just south of Napavine to Grand Mound. So we can assume that your husband either works near Napavine or Grand Mound? I'm guessing Napavine and you currently live near Randle or Packwood? That's my putting 2+2 together, anyway.

No matter, I would suggest Napavine. The small school district there is quite good from what I'm told. It would be close to work even if your husband works near Grand Mound.

Zillow lists two houses both under $1,400 for rent and there are probably more in the surrounding area.
