The "lower" rates mean you get the paper less. If you want it every day, there is only one price. If you only want it on weekends, there is only one price. Etc.

I always negotiate with the Post such that I'm not paying more than about $1.50/week. Their best deals are either for about $1/week or $1.50/week. Do NOT pay the full rate when you need to renew the subscription.
