Eh. Not really down with relaxing the height restrictions, inspite of the economic benefits it could provide. DC's height restrictions is what makes the architecture unique

But at the same time, the taller the building, the more units that can be built in said building, the lower the rent.

I think the recent wave of skyscraper construction in London has only enhanced and complimented their more historic architecture and think the same would occur in DC.

Nah man -- keep the rent high so that DC looks pretty. The kids can skip a few meals. Besides most people are leaving in 2 or three years not like caring about the poor is a concern.

Raise the rent, keep the skyline low!

Congratulations!! And DC should be held accountable for something that's your own fault based on choice because why?

Maybe they could raise the height limit over certain areas, that sounds more feasible to me plus it should only be raised by a limited amount of floors/feet; I don't think I'd like DC with 70 floor buildings next to a 15 story building.

I'd like to see the height restrictions go. I don't think they are necessary citywide. I say limit height around the mall and maybe a mile away from it. Beyond that.. build whatever.

The argument that DC is so "beautiful" with its midget buildings is weak. Outside of the mall area there isn't much beauty. Just a sea of boring boxes. Lets get serious.
