Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker III (D), who has been under pressure from his own children and many of his county’s younger voters, on Friday endorsed a Maryland ballot measure that would legalize same-sex marriage.

He is a typical politician. He makes his true feelings known when it is convenient for him.

"True feelings" or "True colors"??? This just seems like a classic case of 11th hour desperation tactics. Nothing different from Obama endorsing same-sex marriage, recently, even though he had four years prior to do so.

His own children and younger voters only pressure him because it is hip and cool to have that mindset. I guess he wants to remain current and relevant though my kids wouldn't sway my political career, which could end if county residents don't side with his decision.

Well seeing as the LGBT crowd was already going to vote for him, I wouldn't call it a "tactic", more like the man supports it.

I don't buy that argument at all and lets also state that there were/are more important things to deal with right now that same-sex marriage. Let's not forget that the economy is sluggish.
